Its like CET, if you haven't got 36 by the end of 2006 you get thrown off the board.Originally Posted by Maria
It's very, very bad. You need to have at least 36 points by the end of the year to acquire immunity from the "Great Opti-Purge" that is to come on New Year's Day. You better get with the program and impress the cool people a little more.
Don't say I didn't warn you...

Only 5!? That's even worse. Under Paragraph I, Subsection 2AA, line 3 of the Mystic Optiboard Universal Behavior Code, a member with less than 5 reputation points within 30 days of the New Year must not only gain twice the requisite reputation points of anyone else (72) to remain on the board, he or she must also provide 3 letters of recommendation, each from an Optiboard moderator or their designee. Luckily, sacrificing the first born was done away with by Revision C of the MOUBC, approved in October.
I'd say you need to start kissing some serious posterior! :D

5 is pretty marginal, i would say you need 10 just incase a NEG comes allong, people have been abducted by aliens for less than 4 pointsOriginally Posted by Blake
20 is excellent for the amount of time you've been away.I gave you some for just coming back! I'm waiting for some of the newer members to experience your considerable talents of humor and wit. You'll have a ton of reputation in no time. Perhaps you could PM Steve and see if we can get Maria's Lilac back as a style set. You can check your rep in your user CP.Originally Posted by Maria

Harry, in the band containing the date and time of a post, you will notice an icon looking like (indeed they are..) scales. If you click on it you will see what happens. If you want to check your reputation at any time, just go to your your user CP and see if you can find something about reputation points. If one wants to leave a message while giving points, it is permissable. See if you've gotten any!

Thank you for that. I have asked this question before and not gotten a response I all but gave up on it. Thank you also for the reputation points apparently I got a few negatives somewhere before, thats what happens when you voice an honest opinion I guess.

I don't know whether to brag or complain about my points. How does one tell if the total is negative or positive?
Harry, You can't please all of the people all of the time! :)
Chip, when I give points I always try to include a message why....follow the instructions above and check it out!

Why can I not give myself a greenie?
There was a post I was particularly proud of, so I went to reward myself, :finger: I was told.
If I promise not to abuse the privilege, could I be authorized to rank my own post?

I believe it was a Gretsky lover (fanatic).
Is there a way to see who is rating you?

Particularly I would like to know who recently left me a bad one.
Frankly I'm considering dropping the reputation system altogether. It only seens to genrate animosity and nothing positive.

I actually like the whole reputation based system. Maybe drop the negative rep part if you can and then people will not be upset.Originally Posted by Steve Machol

That's true. Then we can be like the people in Lake Wobegon where all children are above average. ;)Originally Posted by For-Life
