    Goblet of Fire

Well, I got roped into going to the midnight showing of the new Harry Potter film this morning (got home at 3:30am and got up for work at 6:30am...LOL).

Unlike the last film, this was well worth the two and a half hours. But all I could think of is that Harry and Ron are looking a little TOOOOOOOOO old to be 14 year olds!

I hear it's kinda "dark". My 7 year old wants to see it, what do you think? Is this one harsher than the others?

my six year old wants to see it, he has seen the others, but in the UK it has been given a 12A certificate which means children under 12 must have an adult with them, so any feedback from anyone who has taken younger kids to se this would be appreciated.

That's really hard to say. I'd take my kid to see it, but that's me. I think that 7 should be OK.

It is "darker" than the others - and if you follow the books, the remainder will be as well. Without giving too much away - let's just say there is a death and a part that is fairly intense.

Personally, I'd take kids, but I know my kids (past tense, since mine are older than half of you). You should decide based on your own childrens emotional makeup.

I ended up watching the movie with 3 kids (8,7,and 4). There were a lot of other younger kids there as well. None of them got real scared. There was one part where my 4 yr old neice jumped into my lap, but that was it.

The movie was dark. As was mentioned earlier, there is a death, and some intense scenes. The way the movie handled it, I thought was tastefully done.

So far in my opinion this is the best Harry Potter movie yet. Some parts I would have loved to see (such as Rita Skeeter's upcomance) were cut due to time constraints (the movie is 2.5 hours) but the way it told the gist of the storyline was great.
