verizon III strong plus lens edging question

Does anyone have experience with edging strong power full field + lenses (+13 and up) with the bevel control. Whatever we do the curve is too steep. Even on the manual curve settings???

I am assuming you mean the horizon III, it should have a tool that looks like an arm with a wheel attached to it that traces the front surface of the lens. If memory serves me correctly you should be able to pull this arm off and put an adapter that will put a specified curve on the front of the lens by being set to the curves in the machine. It has been almost 6 years since I have worked on a horizon so my memory is a little foggy. If you take a picture of the inside of the machines I will detail the drawing with what I am talking about.

one could edge it big and flat and put the bevel on by hand... (thats if you are a bit oldschool in the handskills department)
