Less controversial. More satisfying. Any food or wine connoisseurs?

Food -oh dear - Im a bit of a chef on the quiet - rotate from french, to med to asian
my partner is gluten and dairy free, that makes cooking a real challenge.. getting there though
You a fan of the Naked Chef?

I love a good port. Also like Chianti.
<<I grow a lot of my own food, eat mainly organic, local, seasonal
Do you like to cook spagetti sauce? I know it's a basic dish but I love making tomato meat sauce. I can spend 4 hours on it.
of course, if we want spagettie - i make the sauce, often the pasta.. i really dont do processed food
Good bread, good cheese. Best meal I ever had was somewhere in Italy years and years ago on my first honeymoon, bought a cheap bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, a hunk of cheese and an exquisite fresh melon--really fabulous. Also really fresh fish done simply can be divine.
I have for years been only a red wine drinker--love a nice cab or pinot, but lately getting into light whites, especially pinot grisio (I know that's not spelt correctly!!!)
if i moved to italy i would resign to being fat
Supposedly the Mediterranean diet is very good for you--olive oil, whole grains, veggies, fruit, red wine, fish. Of course there's that moderation crap.....
If you want to make the world's best meatballs, use this mix. I watched a chef do this on TV and tried it myself. It's the best.
-ground beef and pork
-feta cheese chunks
-egg
-breadcrumbs
-fennel seeds
-garlic
-onion
-brown in frypan, bake 30 min
-serve with horseradish sauce, baked carrots, rice and Guinness
I like to drink soy milk! Tried it in South Korea a few years ago.
Helps reduce the chorestrol they say!
:)
Sheppards Pie: Hamburger, Mashed Potatos and cheese. You can't get any better than that! (ok, maybe add some peas and onion to the hamburger)
Best wine: MD 20-20 Concord Grape! Taste better than Richard's Wild Irish Rose or Thunderbird...and its Kosher!

INDIAN FOOD! Each time I go home to the UK that's the first thing I want, then some good fish and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and hot tea... Not on the same day I hasten to add!
Love light wines, white zinfandel, or blackberry merlot, or a good German beer!
Ever try Keema Matter? (spelled wrong)Originally Posted by Lynne

Oh my, can hardly wait for next year now.... Shall have to ask my niece if she fed me that last time, the Keema, I mean! She's very much into bringing home Indian from either the restaurant or supermarket!!Originally Posted by Chairtime

The Buckwheat Wildberry are quite amazing for being gluten, dairy, yeast & egg free.
