optician incentives

I am currently in the process of looking for an optician in the Orlando Florida area. Minimum of two years experience/licensed. I really want a dedicated motiviated person and have considered bonusing the optician based on the net revenue of the optical.

My question is what types of compensation packages have people expereinced when setting up sales goals/incentives for optcians?

Is it based on a percent of net revenue? If so what percentage?

All feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sam,

I have found that 10% of exsisting net profit plus 15% of increased profit devided by each member of the team is an excellent motivator.
Example #1

Current or Minimum Net Profit $20,000
Base Bonus =10% $2,000
Employees 4 $500each

Example #2

Actual Net Profit $25,000
Base Bonus =10% of $20,000 =$2,000
Increased Bonus =15% of $5,000 =$750
Total Bonus $2,750
Employees 4 $687.50each
