1-800-contacts problems

I have an extention on my phone where it says "this extention is no longer in service",because it's in a area where it's not seen on a daily basis. 1-800-contact leaves messages on it. I have called them several times telling them that they can't leave a message on that extention cause it's unattented. I asked that they fax all request to our office and not to phone them. Half the time they are speaking to fast or they have accents which we can't understand. It is to time consuming to set and listen to this when we have a office full of patients. They informed me they could do what they want that the law doesn't regulate them; and they faxed me a copy of the contact laws. Is'nt that special, Bless there heart. What can I do. I remember Diane Drake had something about this a while ago ,,I searched:angry: and can't find it, Help!!!!:hammer:

Take away your voice mail on that extention. That should do it and then they have to fax you if they cannot leave a message.

If you hang up they do not fax. They still continue to call the office because it is a recording. There is no live person on the other end to determine what to do. If you do not return or fax back the Rx is filled as to what was stated 6 hours earlier on their message system.

Why can't we change this.....obviously the MD, OD group and CL manufacturers can't influence the FDA for changes cause the money is greater on the other side.

I take down the record number and name and fax to them that I could not understand the Rx so it is invalid. I will only verify the ones that come over the fax. I won't say it has worked but I get more in the form of a fax.
