new glasses

hey, i got my glasses about an year ago (or less) but i'm gettin real bored with the frame. i hate havin to go to the eye doc, it's a burden. but i really want new frames and i was just wondering if it's possible to get new glasses without visiting the doc?

I would have said so. you certainly could here in the UK. You can either take a copy of your Rx to the Optician and just have another pair made. Failing that they can use your existing glasses to read the lens powers from using a focimeter and lastly you could have your existing lenses transferred into another frame.
