Hire another OD?

I'm an optometrist who goes back and forth between 2 offices every day. I only spend a half-day at each office so I don't miss any patients.

One of my offices has gotten so busy that I am booked almost 2 weeks ahead of time. However, at the other office, I'm never booked more than a day in advance.

I was wondering if anyone thinks I should hire another OD to work in my slower office 1-2 days a week, and try to book the schedule as much as possible for those days while he/she is there. This will give me more time at my busier office where I am most needed.

I'm hesitant because of the money involved and also because I may have to make a few changes to patient records (computer based).

If anyone has similar experience, I would appreciate some advice!

Since its not so busy in your other (slower) office, maybe work a 1 full day (vs 1/2 day) in the office that is busy and not have a Dr. on staff for the 1/2 day when you are (normally) at the slower office. <--not being there the 1/2 day at your slower office may help fill up the other days for when you are.
