Over 300 Optical Websites listed today..............

I am pleased that today I have passed the 300 mark on my Optical Website Listing. I have reached 303 just a few minutes ago.

The websites are listed mainly as suppliers to the optical market. there are different categories as well as contact lenses, retailers, magazines, forums and educational ones.

All these websites have quality and traffic ratings given by GOOGLE and ALEXA.
GOOGLE makes the quality rating where the point go from 1 to 10. If a commercial site is higher than 6 it is a very extra ordinary website.

Alexa measure the traffic going to these sites, how many visitors you can reach every day, how many visitors you actually get and how many pages have been looked at. Then they rate a site that has the most traffic as a 1.........and so forth, the less traffic, the higher the number.

Optiboard for example has an excellent and top class rating of 5 for quality with GOOGLE and 55,650 for traffic with Alexa. Any website from a 1 to 150,000 is an excellent site with a lot of visitors.

I am also very happy to see that I have succeeded to have 2 sites among the 10 best Alexa rated sites. However these numbers can change from week to week.

For the Optiboarders this a good point of reference when looking for optical sites only.

Thanks Eyepro...........It took some time initially, now it's just a matter of adding the ones that pop up from time to time. I am now up to 308 sites.

I update the first 10 ranking sites just about every day and the large balance once a week. (Just did half of them yesterday)

I find it amazing that the large corporations, with the exception of ZEISS, that could afford to pay for the work it takes to get a top presence on the internet, are lacking way behind in the way of attracting more viewers to their sites.
