Private frame labeling

I am interested in pursuing private labeling of frames for my optical boutique. Can anyone connect me with someone who can get me started?

Do you mean you want to have your own series of eyewear with your logo(or with your own design) ?
May I know how many boutique you have ?

I think Luzerne does this. They are in New Orleans, I think. Pretty sure the Doc from China will do this.

We have one location that is 8 1/2 years old and sees about 250 patients/week. We are opening our second location, designed to be more of a high end boutique this fall and a third next summer.

You have to clearly define what you are trying to accomplish with a private label line. Typically for each style you will need to order a minimum of 300 units each. If you have 1 style but 3 colors, each color is treated as a different style for manufacturing purposes. There are many companies that have their own private label product and you can buy from their inventory rather than re-create the wheel. Other companies can design lines for you or work with designs that you create. Lawrence Yau's company is one such company that can assist you in bringing your ideas or theirs into production.

Thanks for your help. I would like to work with companies that already have their own private label product from which to choose. I would like them to be well-made and allow me to present to my patients choices that are different from what they would find in the masses. Therefore, I would like the styling to be distinctive without being so edgy that it has a limited appeal. Finally, I am looking for frames that are at a reasonable pricepoint but that are limited in their distribution. I would like them to complement the rest of our inventory which consists of Kata, Mikli, Oliver Peoples, Takumi, Lafont, LA Eyeworks, etc.

Kata, Mikli, Oliver Peoples, Takumi, Lafont, LA Eyeworks....

!

So, Kata carries one of the kind casting hinge and temple tips.

Oliver People frames are made almost without hand polishing. All molding and toolings must be precise to create their special pattern.

Takumi = one of the patented products.

Mikli and LA Eyeworks both have exclusive colors and patterns on their plastic frames.

I find almost no round corners on Mikli and Lafont products, that means their Zyl frames are milled out by time consuming CNC process and hardly have any cutting mark on their semi-finishes.

Try "Hagason" from Japan. Hagason means "white mountain" = Snowing Fuji Mountian in Japanese. It is the most fine made eyewear collection I have ever seen and not available in USA. I don't have their contact information and I know they are not cheap at all!
