    relics from a forgotten era

so far i've seen postings from opticians that started as far back as '59. during those times you have undoubtedly seen many things come and go in optics, some for the better, some for the worse. so what are the high and low points in optics for you? do you still have lens samples and frames from a time when progressives were people that wanted women to vote? =) please share, i want to know more about where these things come from.

Watch who you are calling a relic! I would like to help you with some historical vignettes of the optical business and some product samples from the good old days but, I just can’t remember where I put them.

Actually, we didn’t seem to have many of the problems that seem to be focused on here on the OptiBoard. Opticianry was a great occupation. The MD stuck to the practice of medicine. The OD’s did their thing. There were very few large chains and no third party payees.

Time for my meds and my nap. Welcome aboard Joey
