    Eyemed site offering CTL refills?

Just a quick question for any Eyemed provider out there?

If a patient of yours replaces his/her CTLenses on the Eyemed site, are you reimbursed since it's your patient, or does eyemed pocket the whole amount and leave you in the cold?

So you get a pittance for their 'referral', but no other benefit?!?!?

Not only do they not reimburse very much for a doctor's services, but they 'steal' any residual Contact Lens refills the Dr would have realized?!?!?!?! Not only does a practitioner have to fight the 1-800 s of the world, and the miserly reimbursement for their services that insurances like eyemed provide, but now they have to COMPETE WITH THAT INSURANCE COMPANY FOR REFILLS ON CTLS!?!?!?

Can someone explain to me exactly why independents accept eyemed/cole?

I always thought there was no profit in CL anyway!

But to answer your question you do get $5 for every refill and when the RX runs out they tell you to back and get a new Exam!

    Eye med

My suggestion is to set up an automatic renewal service for your patients. THe concept is to get the patient to commit to reordering through you. Have the patient fill out 4 order cards place them in a file box and every month you order that months suubscribed lens orders in bulk

    Whoop-de-frickin-do!

I was considering EyeMed. I saw that on their site. I puked my guts out. I came back to my senses.

$5 is exactly what I am missing in order to pay my monthly rent!

I will have to renew 500 patients every month!
