Contact lens packaging in the UK

To all the awesome Brits in the forum :)

This has happened to me twice now, so I need to double check.

In case number 1, a woman came in wearing what she said were Night & Day lenses. (She described the "puzzle shape" blister.) Turns out she was wearing PureVision lenses.

In case number 2, a man came in to order SofLens 1-Day lenses. He showed me blisters that look like the Focus Dailies blisters (the "backwards comma" shape).

In both cases, they told me they got their lenses from Boots (sp?). So, my question is are the contact lens packaging for B&L and Ciba switched, in comparison to North American packaging? Or, I guess to make this easier, what does the packaging look like for Focus Dailies and for SofLens 1-Days?

    Thanks for your help!

the backwards comma is the focus daily, the purevision sounds as you describe a lot of lenses are sold as own brand and so they may be assumed by patient to be one type of lens but could be something else, eg. focus daily sold as boots daily

It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. For if, by ill luck, people understood each other, they would never agree.
