Big Smile really like my new Optician

I ordered my new Definity lenses; they cost less than last lenses because they are poly. The ones I am wearing now are Hi index, Panamics Crizals. They are four years old, the coating has long worn off, they are scratched, and are always dirty. Cannot wait to get my new glasses, the Optician was wonderful, so open and honest. Other people came in and said how much they liked the shop and the Dr. there. They did not have a great frame selection, just the basics. The Optician took his time to explain the differences in lenses and the size frame needed for each. You may think this is common but it is not. :)
They charge the same price for each lens no matter what the brand, just the different materials. The most expensive is $399 hi-index 1.70. He said most of his customers are asking for Definity, because of word of mouth. They do not advertise.

I have only one worry and it is my frame it is rimless, drill mount Silhouette. The Optician is making the lens as large as he can, however I think I made a mistake going with that frame. Might have to save up and get a great big oval full frame.

If its not too late, order the Elite Gemcoat Anti Refective coating. It provides a lifetime of the RX scratch warrantee which is VERY worthwhile to have.

Received my Definity Short in my new Silhouette rimless 6588 with the new Gemcoat Elite, today. Fantastic! I tried the Gemcoat Elite in trial phase an found it comparable to my Alize Coating. The vision is phenomenal with my new lenses. The coating is easy to clean and I haven't seen a print on it since i adjusted it this afternoon.

Harry, have you tried this yet? It is also available in Polarized. As a short corridor with a 15-18 fitting height the intermediate in my 2.25 add is great. At present,I sitting at arms length and am viewing the computer screen better than ever. Even better than my regular Definity with Gemcoat.
