    Thanks for the reply.

It would be great if you can send me the URL's of each software and pro's and con's.

I would like to create a list so others can benefit.

    MaximEyes for our office:

Pros: ...I know I can think of something. I might have to get to you on that.

    Cons: It is absolutely horrible.

I'm very biased obviously. If/when you seriously consider purchasing MaximEyes, shoot me an email, and I'll talk to you about our experiences over the phone. To give the most vague of lead-ins, we were told information that turned out to be incorrect, we were told information that were straight lies, doing everything step by step from our trainers caused our server's harddrive to crash, loosing a (thankfully small) percentage of patient data, we paid for 7 licenses, yet we can only use 6 of them, and tech support has refused to help us, so in the last 3 months, when our eyeconnect data transmission from us to the lab stopped working, we are not given any help to fix it, so now, we've spent tons of money in a system that does only the things that systems half it's price do.

(I hope you hadn't really had your heart set on them)

I was hopping to get more of a reply to this post.

Does anyone use a web based system where patients can make their own appointment, without calling into the office ?

Ha ha, would like to say not a lot.... but no, it's my job. I am an Opsys analyst for Essilor, I have to use it everyday.

I'm involved with with some other software projects here as well, but for the most part I help develop Opsys and resolve issues with it.

    Maximeyes Problems

maximeyes is the system we have been running since 4/03. what a headache and always problems. tech support is poor---recently received upgrade and all functions are pretty much non existent, tech people are all new-----takes days to fix a single issue.
