YOUNGER OPTICS EXPANDS IMAGE® PRODUCT LINE WITH NEW HIGH INDEX 1.67

(TORRANCE, CA - APRIL 2005) - California-based lens innovator Younger Optics has recently expanded its IMAGE® progressive line with the new 1.67 refractive index lens. Manufactured with the high performance material MR-10 resin in an ultra-reliable progressive design, IMAGE 1.67 is a choice material for patients with high prescriptions if lens thickness consideration is essential (especially in drilled rimless eyewear).

IMAGE provides stabilized viewing zones in all prescriptions, ensuring the reading area is not compromised as the add power increases while boasting one of the widest distortion free distance zones in the industry, which is an essential attribute for a quality progressive design. IMAGE works well in all frames, including wrap, rimless or drilled, and fashionable small frames, with fitting heights as low as 18mm.

The IMAGE lens is available in more materials and treatment combinations than any other progressive. "One of the major challenges for any lens designer is to maintain design integrity across the material offerings. Younger has maintained consistency in the [award winning] IMAGE design throughout the entire range," said David Rips, president and CEO of Younger Optics. IMAGE is also available in NuPolar® polarized, Transitions® photochromic, Trilogy® (made with TrivexT), and polycarbonate and hard resin.

IMAGE® high index 1.67 progressive lenses are available now through your wholesale Laboratory of choice.
