Does anyone have the web address for Unversal-Univis?? The made the Cambridge and Corsair frames. I know they're still in business, just can't find them

They are distinct companies. Only geographical coincidence. The frame industry in the US evolved in the MA - RI area and Universal-Univis and Hilco are among the very few survivors. The Portuguese immigrants established the jewelry business there and frames evolved from that.

Universal-Univis now a fraction of their combined size decades ago. Hilco has grown and holds a strong position in their niche.

Anyone know if they're still operating? Their webpage is a do-it-yourself graveyard now and looks like it hasn't been updated in a decade; the 1800 number they have listed gets me a driving directions service. Was looking into them for someone because apparently they supplied (or just made) the glasses on the show "Heroes."
