The lights come down at or about New Years. The wreath on the house stays out until buring season allows disposal.....anywhere from Jan 15 to April 30 although its usually down by Feb 1st. A little later this year due to all the snow we had.

I know people that have a fully decorated tree that stays in their downstairs rec room until Christmas, then it's moved upstairs for the holidays, then back again after. That's kind of lazy.

I have an 8' "pre-lit" artificial tree that I remove ornaments from after January 7th and then store wrapped up in the garage til Thanksgiving. Its just too complicated to take the thing apart and then try to figure out the next year. We must really amuse the neighbors when my husband and I load the tree onto a wagon (picture a tall tree balanced on a large board balanced on the little red wagon, tipping way down to clear the garage door, then going up a steep drive way to get from the basement level garage to the upstairs living room... we both agree any cussing has to be held to whisper volume.) Lazy has nothing to do with it! The last "live" tree we had for Christmas was eaten by our samoyed many years ago while we were out shopping. BTW, we decorate 3 full size trees each year and several table size models. My husband LOVES Christmas decorating.
