    +5 and -5

Why is it when I put a high plus lens infront of my eye every thing is very blurry and when I put a very high minus (-5 or -20) I can still see but with a little effort?

I sure am but even with corrected vision no matter how high the minus I can see through it. Would a hyperope be the same if they looked through varying plus lenses and see only blurriness in the minus ones? I was not sure if it had something to do with diverging or converging powers of the lenses.

For a distant object, a given amount of power error will blur your vision accordingly. However, if you have any accommodation left, the natural ability of your eye to focus up close by increasing its plus power will overcome some of the power error and blur produced by a minus lens. A plus lens, on the other hand, will blur your vision regardless of your amplitude of accommodation, since your eye can only increase plus power further.

    Best regards,
    Darryl

Thats pretty cool! Our Doc and I were messing around with this and he was explaining that he can't see through a -10.00 because he is a prebyope. I guess when you think about it it is pretty obvious:hammer:
