Crier Computer down, need some advice

After having computer trouble on and off for the past few weeks:angry: , and now with printer troubles , I am in need of a handwritten backup system. I need some good RX order forms that have room for pt. info on top (address, phone #) etc. and then room for the RX and frame info. I have checked several catalogs (Medical Arts Press, etc) and haven't been lucky so far. So if anyone that does handwritten orders have any ideas where to get order forms specifically for optical dispensing, I would greatly appreciate it:idea: . Also, any type of good handwritten receipts that are made specifically for dispensing would be a great help as well. Thanks for your help.

Ryan, PM me with your address and I'll send you what I am using. If you like it, just bring it to any print shop and substitute the name of your company. The printer will be able to do it in a short time. Better yet, give my your fax number and I'll fax it to you.

Why go back to the middle ages. Computers can be cleaned up. Printers are dirt cheap these days.

And..........if you get a pocket size USB Jump Drive 512 MB you can back up as many times a day you want in seconds and you always have a backup. These jump drives cost from $20 to $60 which is heck of a cheaper deal than printing record cards.

Great idea, Chris! I've been backing up onto CD - I have a jump drive to get files to home and back, but it never occurred to me to back up onto the d*** thing. Score a big DUH for me.:hammer:

    Ryan,
As an emergency fix, use your lab's order forms. It should have everything but room for the pricing.
    ...Just ask me...
