    Question

Does anyone have experience with the "portable Lensometer?"

Does anyone have one for sale...besides Frannel?

    John,

You might want to call Pentax Vision here MN. I remember seeing a few during my tenure there. The number to call is (800)401-9101. Contact people are Terry Keenan or Marty Stemler.

    Good Luck,
    Azthoth

I used to own a Nikon like this. I purchased mine through Precision Optical Machine in Philadelphia, PA.

    They also service equipment.

I have a Nikon EL-7 lensometer which works by battery power or AC power. I've been using it for my nursing home accounts over the past 6 years. It has been serving me very well, it is very light, and impressively accurate. I believe it is now retailing somewhere a little over $1700 sheckles. Winchester Optical had a used one for sale when I was there a month or so ago. They were asking $900. You might want to give them a call to see if they still have it.

Try Belrose Refracting @ 1-800-875-5235 or RH Burton @ 1-800-848-0410. Good Luck.

    John,

Just found out NIKON has a hot steaming deal on their lensometers which also offers 0% interest and payments over a 30 month period.

The EL-7 model which I explained to you previously is only $1050 direct from Nikon. The OL-7 model is only $1200 & change. At these prices and terms I may even pick another one up for my retail area. You can reach them at http://www.nikonusa.com/products/detail.cfm?id=100

    or call them at 800-438-8782

    Keep them LOOKING good.
