Looking for online JPEG (Image) Editor

Could anyone point me to either an online JPEG or Image Editor or similar software that I could download and use on a Mac running Mac OS 9.2 --? I mean a program that can take a JPEG or similar image and translate it into a smaller size -- fewer pixels. Like I have an image that I would like to post, but it would be better if I could post a smaller version of it. I was using something at the Web link below, but it doesn't work anymore currently. It was put on the Web so that Geeks like me could "test" the Image Editor software online before downloading it. They may eventually restore it to work again, but right now I don't have an Image Editing tool. I'm looking for a freebie -- shareware, freeware; etc. It's just for fun. Thanks to anyone who can help.

It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. For if, by ill luck, people understood each other, they would never agree.

I guess I should have explained that image (above). I used the trial software from the Web link that optispares posted, to produce that image by scaling down from an even larger source image. I could do without that yellow "DEMO" mark across the center of my image, but I do feel I've gotten a step ahead here. I may eventually decide to pony up the software registration fee, so I can make images without that "DEMO" sign pasted over them. (Looks like the yellow "crime scene" tape we've all seen!)

    Rin ~

Your best bet is the free program IrfanView that has an awesome and fast image resizer.

I have a tutorial on how to use that feature and a link to download it:

** Dial-up users need be patient as this will take some time to load initially.

    brucekrymow,

Thanks, but does this IrfanView have a version that runs on Mac OS 9.2 --? Looks like PC software, not Mac software, from what I can see on those links you provided.
