    Reshaping Rx Lenses

Just a question. How much do you all think cutting a lens down affects the prescription of the lens? In my case I am refering to just a few millimeters all around the lens.

Reshaping the lens will only affect the centering of the Rx (OC placement, seg ht., etc.). The power of the lens will not change (although if you are not careful you may get it off axis slightly). In a plus lens, edging down may also cause the edge thickness to be more than what is acceptable.

cutting the lens does not change the prescription, but if you are putting them in
a new frame, the relative positions of the optical centers of the lenses will have to taken into account.
