OptiCalc™ Rx Calculation & Machine Interface System
The Optivision© OptiCalc™ software system is designed to provide Rx calculations for lenses upon order entry of the Rx. The Optivision lens grinding specifications are derived from mathematical, trigonometric, algebraic, plane geometry and physics calculations on each and every lens, not from some “grinding chart”. These original calculations make Optivision© software one of the most accurate systems on the market today.
Realizing reduction of spoilage is very important to keeping your profits high, the Optivision© system strives to maintain accuracy throughout the system. These calculations provide the lens surfacing information on a shop ticket.
The software system also incorporates the technology provided in the OptEquip™ system, the software system designed to allow lab machinery from different manufacturers to "talk" to each other. The machine interface component is a unique feature built into the Optivision© system that is designed to allow machines from different manufacturers to communicate with each other throughout the lens making process. The ability exists to trace a frame on one brand of tracer and edge it on yet a different manufacturer’s edger, allowing the freedom to choose preferred equipment without worrying about machine compatibility.
