To my knowledge, there has never been a single in vivo study of the effect of "blue light" on an actual human retina. Blasting cultured rat retinal cells in a petri dish with high intensity blue...
Nothin but crickets? I can't even seem to find a distributor here in the States (I believe they're Italian...or at least Italian assembled). Weird...
Need a bit for a frame that went all self-destructo in office, and have no idea where to find parts...
TIA!
Sounds just like EyeMed, and Hoya Safety as well! Good luck!
Does LifeRx still delaminate horrifically with nothing more than a sideways glance?
It's (usually) so super simple with most zyls, and then there is zero risk of heat crazing.
High heat + almost any treated lens = Certain doooooooooom!
Sorry...the Halloween spirit got me a...
I never heat a bridge with lenses inserted if it can at all be helped. Any lens. Doubly so if it's not one of mine. Just seems to save a lot of potential issues. And of course, most zyls are only...
They're frightfully ugly to look at. And I can't help but wonder, since everything old, is now new again, why not just put pt's who want this into old photogray lenses? They did the same thing...
I've seen HORRID "adjustments" in numerous states - licensed states actually had some of the WORST. LOL
But yeah, it runs the gamut from no adjustment at all, the almost 90 degree straight down...
Thank you. It's really nice living so close to so much incredible scenery.
My original Rēvo lenses never had any circular lightening to them (and I sold hundreds of them through the 90's.) Was that a thing after the got taken up to the Lux mothership, rudely probed, and...
A few weekends back, I decided I needed a quick mental health road trip. So I got in the car, and headed north. 5 hours later, I found myself at the West Yellowstone entrance to America's first...
There are two things to bear in mind with Hoya: 1. lens quality 2. support quality.
They're weak on both in my own experience, though the PALS they offer are mediocre in my own subjective...
I still say let the nasal corners dig into the pt's nose. Nose pad issue solved. DONE!
And today. Again. How can they POSSIBLY operate a business like this??
Chemistrie bridges come larger than 22, but aren't designed to work with normal thickness lens mounting.
Might be easier to surgically alter pt's nose to allow proper fit of the "perfect" lens for them. :D
Trivex is still more expensive, and more limited in availability. Though it has slowly improved a bit over the years. The "optics of poly are crap" argument has been well and thoroughly debunked. ...
Run Away! QUICKLY!
There's always the option of wrapping the pt's head in 6-8 layers of Duct Tape. Glasses can't get through such an effective force field. (Neither can rebel scum!) I find that to be quite...
All good points. However, there are a few of us who remain that DO still care about optics, job quality, AND pt satisfaction at the end of the day. My original post was more along the lines of when...
At the end of the day, I suppose the two things that really will sink us as a business, is having a supplier who cares not enough about speed or quality. And in today's market, those are critical to...
I know all labs go through patches where basically everything falls apart for a time. People leave, equipment fails, 3rd party suppliers go out of business etc etc...I get it.
But when is enough...
There are *sort-of* MJ specific drop downs now for some things. Frankly, the MJ system through their own website is simple and easy to use. With slimy VSP hands now in that cookie jar, the process...
