I have a 99 T which has one heating element in it and it is rated at 9 amps. If it has a fuse it is internal. Maybe that will help.

If you have a fridge available with a freezer in it, put an ice pack in it and drop that in when useing the machine to help keep the temp. down.

Use aluminum. They act like a heat sink to draw heat away from the lens during fining and polishing. I get better results with aluminum.

I have a newer machine that safety bevels the lenses, but have turned it off for the lack of producing consistant bevels.
