I think that is the best option - I tend to wear my RGPs in the Summer I am -14 so I can empathise with your situation. They really are the best thing for people n our situation.

I have tried to find some extended wear contacts (30 days) for V.high myopia -15 diopters but can;t find them anywhere that go up to this power.

I suppose the nirvana for myopic refractive correction is the reshaping of the sclera as this would address both refractive and retinal problems?
