    Hoya Array identifier question

    Have a new patient that appears to be wearing a Hoya Array lens and is very happy with it. Nasal markings are "Y75." The 5 indicates 1.67, can anyone explain what the 7 means?

    Discs between hinge barrels

    Some manufacturers use some sort of disc between hinge barrels, presumably to prevent over-loosening of hinges....but once they fall out, they are extremely difficult to repair...anyone have any tips?

    Lens thickness & fitted back vertex distance

    I do not understand why we don't have to consider Rx lens thickness when measuring fitted back vertex distance. Especially in a high plus lens the thickness is significant and the "back" of the lens...
