I'd like to point out that weight is not "always the same" in regard to trivex vs poly. In most Rx -3 to +3, but especially the + powers, trivex will weigh less. This is especially true if it is a...
New Shameer AR - GLACIER EXPRESSION - claims to improve your whole life with its off the charts "signal to noise" ratio..... seems like a bunch of hooey, but I will be open-minded and am willing to...
Yes, these work great if you have a patient that wants a gradient polarized lens...just use gray A and tint any color on top. Also, work well for those with cataracts who still want polarized lenses...
I have a patient that has been getting gray 3 glass lenses for years and now multiple labs are telling me these require backside AR. The patient absolutely does not want AR, he wants glass lenses...
Can anyone provide tips on adjusting these frames, such as the Nike 7125, which come with an insert saying to use low heat, but when I do so, they will revert to their original shape a few minutes...
Oh my. Patient has had a small Clubmaster ophthalmic round frame for a few years, and decided recently she must have another one as an Rx sun. Rx basically +0.25 +3.00 add ou. We made dark...

Any advice on adjusting a new Cartier horn frame?
It seems Definity is being discontinued.....which is a bit of an issue since long-time Definity wearers almost never like any other lens. I am thinking Hoya Lifestyle might be the closest thing...
Thanks for the responses! I thought I would melt or shrink them if I gave them THAT much heat. Total cr@pola nonetheless.
Anyone have any insight into actually adjusting the lousy injection-molded plastics such as the 7066? These are embarassing.
I am NOT impressed with the real world scratch resistance after dispensing a few dozen pairs. Already have warranties going....best thing since sliced bread my %^$&! EX3 and probably...
Respectfully I must disagree. I've had the displeasure of filling Rx in a couple of new Armini frames brought in by patients recently. They may very well be the worst plastic Rxable frames I have...
Anyone know this lens? Nasal marked D5M2 (large marking), temporal marked D5 (small marking). Bueller?....Bueller?.....Bueller?
Yeah, I know its an oxymoron these days, but I am looking for a good lab that does vsp and Varilux...you know, the kind of lab that doesn't make you want to pull your hair out of your head several...
I don't think I ever seen this in print, but it sure seems that a plastic frame with a matte finish tends to slip less than the same style in a gloss frame. Comments?
Interesting. It is rare these days to see a Lux frame actually made of Mazzuchelli
Warning! In their infinite wisdom, at some point Logo changed the shape of the 7644. Yes, there are two different shape 7644, one with b = 32 and one a bit narrower...
Have to chime in here. I've used nearly a hundred different labs in the past 15 years and Cherry is hands-down the best. No contest.
Thoughts on how this lens works for plano/+2.25 add with double monitors 30" away and BELOW eye level? As in two laptops sitting on a desk pushed a bit away from user...
Looking for maximum...
