That's infuriating.
Look at Nassau. The Synergy Crystal AR compares very favorably with mid-level Crizal and TechShield coatings at a fraction of the price. Even their lowest-end Lighten Up Sentinel AR hugely...
I think they make the best lenses in the world. Literally the best. But everything else about the company in the US is a train wreck crashing into a dumpster full of diapers on fire. Two massive...
Okay. I get that. But Zeiss changing their entire progressive lens portfolio twice in five years is not better than just renaming existing designs.
For a company that makes such superlative lenses, Zeiss sure does a crappy job at selling them and supporting the people who dispense them.
Nice of Zeiss to rename all of their lenses four years ago, then do it all again now.
This discussion is making me miss Chris Ryser something awful.
We use Nassau for lenses and we are very very happy with the price and quality.
Go with Santinelli for your edger.
At least Silhouette is shifting to letters for their shape codes. Their color codes are, if anything, getting more confusing.
Ain't it always the way.
I took my -9.00 glasses off and could almost read it. Nice work! My life is forever changed.
Look for a much larger disruption due to the massive nor'easter about to hit the DC-Boston corridor.
If there's a PD on a computer-printed RX, I always assume it was generated by an autorefractor and disregard it.
Agreed. I would have assumed a +1.25 add here.
I think the Lux dust is actually coming from the inside of the cases.
Proprietary nose pad designs drive me up the wall. I don't want to have to stock or special order nose pads beyond standard...
I love a good cardboard box. Even more, I love when a box comes in that's a good size for me to put other collapsed boxes in to take home to recycle.
Zeiss will be happy for the business. And that German 1.74 lens is the best I've ever worn, not even close. It may take a month or more, though.
All true. For me, the convenience massively outweighs the limitations of the technology.
Pete, are you saying that the Comfort Max is using different PAL designs for myopes, hyperopes, and emmetropes? Not just variable corridor lengths, but different channels entirely?
Madness.
I get unnaturally excited when a small Safilo box comes in because it's a good box for shipping things out. Adhesive comes off clean, cardboard is strong for re-use.
That's exactly the kind of petty nonsense I'm looking for. Let the hate flow through you!
Do you have a good relationship with the prescribing doctor? If this was my office, I'd be talking with my doc about the costs and benefits of pulling that cyl back to -6.00. First of all, there just...
I used to be That Guy for a doctor who didn't like having price tags on frames. She made me write the price on one lens and the UPC code on the other. Holy hand cramps, Batman!
