I don't want to get banned, and I'm not trying to be mean. I may not respect fat people in general, but I certainly didn't attack a board member. Does this mean I can't say, "I hate sweaty...

Well, that part is certainly true.
Let me clarify, HC...What I meant was, most of us do our jobs and keep a clean store. We do a "spring cleaning" now and then to hit the hidden areas, etc. If I'm making money, beating last years'...
To me it's quite simple: Are you paid enough to meet the "white glove" standard? Anyone can talk about pride and all that, but if someone wants to live up to an ultra-meticulous standard they...
No
Managing older people should give you more confidence, not less. A twenty-year-old employee might be a great leader who hasn't blossomed yet, while a 50-year-old taking orders from a youngster put...
With Spectera, all you're getting in most cases is exam and dispensing fee, so don't take Spectera if you do 30-minute exams and cut temples to size, etc. If you're willing to do a 10-minute exam,...
And really, humor beside the point...If people are saying you look better in glasses, you'd look even better with a bag over your head. "Looking good in glasses" is ridiculous.
I shouldn't have just said you need help. As an eye care professional, I have a duty to provide it.
You see, when you wear contacts you don't actually become dumber and meaner--you were an idiot...
That sounds like you're a person who needs help.
And For-Life, if you're afraid to touch your eye, I'm sorry. I know some people are just too darned sensitive to wear contacts and I hope you never have to do anything mildly unpleasant, because I...
You're right, those -9.00's are HOT!
If you don't have, or can't find, a lot of money--you will fail. Think about it. If you can't talk a lender into a big enough loan to get you through the first two or three years, what makes you...
Thank you, specs4you...As others have said, I'm lucky to work now and then with a cool doc.
I will say again, he intends to check behind me, always and forever, unless I become an O.D....
And gets them more dates, my four-eyed friend.
Ook ook!
Direct contact? I wasn't going to use a rectal ophthamlomoscope, I was just going to look at the eye from a reasonable distance. Again, the doc plans on having a second look, not for Rx but to...
In the current economic climate, I wouldn't be looking to go more high-end...I'd be looking to go more high-value. I just want you to know that on the ultra-high-end lines, reps will lie and say...
Indeed. What kind of a commie baz-tard would be out shopping for glasses on Independence Day anyway? All you'd sell is some black plastic frames to degenerate hipsters.
Bumped to top by me.
Chip, this is one of the few times I have to disagree. I wear glasses when I give my eyes a break from contacts, and I like them comfortable--not so tight I can wear them making love or bare-knuckle...
We buy a few supplies from Stormin' (and the owner's a good guy), but lenses can be found cheaper elsewhere.
To clarify, because I wanted this to be a "in praise of OD's" post and not a debate...His theory was, he trains me for a year on refraction, K's, slit-lamp, and ophthamoscopy, and once he can trust...
Am I the only one who reads Chip's replies? The question was answered and settled. If giving out PD's is going to bankrupt your practice, your practice ain't gonna be around long anyway.
Chip answered this whole thread correctly in the second post.
