I am doing some testing and evaluation of new generators. Is there any data available on the RPM of the lenses during the generating process? Looking for info on Schneider, Coburn, Satis, Optotech.
We are experiencing issues with the Seiko Super Surpass finished AR coated lenses slipping during edging. It is only this lens we are having issues with. We are using a wet, wheel type edger.

Thanks for all of the input. Some excellent points. I would like to clarify that I am not referring to edging in the generator, but, rather cribbing or shaping the lens something close to the frame...
Very astute. Just a remarkable coincidence.
Untrue... conventional (round) cribbing and oval/elliptical cribbing both do work to shape the edge of a surface blocked lens.
Is anyone aware of any generators that posses the ability to crib a lens to the frame shape (or a close approximation)? If so, what is the benefit? I know elliptical or oval cribbing has existed for...

I thought the Cobalt was a pretty impressive system given the price point, footprint, etc. I believe it has been validated for several branded designs.
The list of “Pros” is spot on. The “Cons”...
I am looking for a Coburn 601 Sphere Polisher (or similar).
Please message me if you have one to offer or know where I might be able to locate one.
