Uncle Fester is right.
What we do is testing all the glasses we sell on ourself. So if you know how the vision with a glass is, you know if the customer is telling you bull**** or not.

Exactly what I thought when I read about that glas. Also Novacell is owned by Essilor, so it can only be a rip off
Anybody knows more about this glas? Revolutionary or just marketing blabla?
Several years ago we tried Hoya lenses because of the price. It did not work. Had to take back 20-30% of all glasses. It was almost impossible to change customers that had Essilor glasses to Hoya...

Here in Germany, we get a Situation like it is in the US. Essilor/Luxottica is buying the second largest chain (Apollo) and is now a competitor. We reduced our Portfolio and the only Luxottica frames...
If she just had a cataract surgery, maybe it's her new eye lens. Did you check that? Maybe she has a special lens, that interferes with the blue filter of her glasses.
Im looking for a Visionix VX 120 and while searching the web for a good offer, i found this company from Singapore. But to be honest, 7.777$ for a new VX 120 sounds to good to be true. Does anybody...
Thank you amnok. Looks like the typical Essilor blablabla to me. So the next big thing will be the same old stuff, with new paint :)

Does anybody know, what it could be? Essilor is announcing it as: "Varilux, the new Generation." It is about to come out in April this year. I wonder if it is really something new, or just old...
hey golfnorth,
you are right, we used the amplitude just for people with no money. we have better succes with the essilor ideal (don't know the us name). but it is much more expensive than the...
hey buckeyfan,
it would be interesting to get a feedback in 2-3 months on your experience with hoya lenses. we tried them last year (they catched us with big discount). we had about 60% non...
Why don't you test the coatings by yourself? Order 2, 3 or 4 pairs of glasses and fit them in some cheap frames. Do the test in your car, at night on a busy road. You will find out, what AR coating...
Do you use Hoya Lenses? If you do, I would fit it "C" or lower. Most of our customers had problems when we fit the Hoya lenses "A". We fit Essilor glasses like "A" or "B", depends on the customers...
Hello Peter,
we used Hoya too and my personal opinion is that it is not as good as they tell us. I think their Lotus effect is crap. For me, Shamir Glacier Plus is the best coating. We mostly use...
Go to the Essilor Website, go to Opsysweb and select your type of glasses and prescription. After that you can trace your Frame, or select a sample shape. There you can specify the thickness of the...

I tried the Varilux S 4D. No success. Now he is wearing the Ipseo NE. Distance view is ok, but intermediate and...
I tried the Nikon glasses and really liked them for driving. Don't use them anymore. Too much reflections for me. My wife couldn't see my eyes anymore. Good product for a small group of people, but...
What i recognized is, that the add power is lower (0.25-0.50) as we ordered. Essilor says, thats ok. No redos so far, but some customers complain about the reading area.
Finally... I got my S4D last week. They are ok, but far from perfekt. What I can say is that there is a little less swim effect than in my Ipseo. But with the Ipseo the view is really sharp. With the...
Hello from Germany. Etnia is one of our best selling brands. We carry them since 1997 and we are all big Etnia fans. The management is a little bit chaotic, but thats ok because the design is...
This is funny, because here in Germany, we think that in the US everything is much cheaper. For example: In the US you get a BMW X3 about 15.000 $ cheaper than in Germany. The KitchenAid costs...
The really bad thing about Optifog is, thats it's almost impossible to clean your glasses, whne they are not activated. I tried it and would never do it again. An you don't have to activate the...
I would never choose OptiFog again. You have to activate it at least every second day, not once a week! But whats really annoying... you won't be able to keep your glasses clean anymore. No Lotus...
