CR39 aspherics or 1.74 high index aspherics?

Hello, quick question please,

So for Low Vision Aids it's better to have CR39 due to it's high V value and therefore wider of field, correct?

However if somebody has chosen to get SV reading glasses with quite a high add (same +5), would it be better cosmetically to go for 1.74 high index aspheric lenses or stick to CR39 for the better optics?
