Our practice has an expanding community presence – we are looking to add to our team - we have an opening for Medical Billing and Collections Specialists with eyecare ( ophthalmology or optometry) experience.

We are adding the right staff that enjoy working in the medical billing and coding profession, value teamwork, enjoy problem solving and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Our medical billing and collections specialist work claims from start to finish to fully support the practice’s needs. The ideal candidate must be a proactive problem solver when working with insurance companies and present unresolved patient concerns to the manager for resolution immediately with related documentation.

Duties in support of delivering exceptional customer service include answering calls and responding to patient inquiries and/or problems regarding their accounts, transmit coded information to payers and other authorized recipients, follow-up on patient balances and manage accounts receivable reports.

Job Requirements

The right candidate will possess 3-5 years of recently related work experience in the following areas: Medical Collections -Medical Billing -Coding (ICD/CPT), Insurance Verification, EOB's Processing Appeals/Denials. Knowledge of and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Candidates must...........
- be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and practice management software.
- possess strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate appropriately with patients, providers and insurance companies
- be organized with attention to detail.
- have demonstrated knowledge in balancing and explaining account balances.
