Smile Source/Vision Source?

Greetings Optiboarders
I have been out of the optical industry for almost 2 years after 30 years in retail and wholesale. I come back to Optiboard to check on things from time to time. Got in trouble once for insulting Zeiss on the forum, but it's all good. The other day I saw a commercial for Smile Source. The logo looked familiar. Hmmm... mid career dentist teaming up claiming to be independent doctors working together with big ad dollars and buying power! So I did the google'in and Smile Source is owned by a lasik vision company!! Really! Seems some of the Smile Source leadership folks worked at Vision Source. Could Essilor be infiltrating the dental industry? Then veterinarians? chiropractors? When will it stop? Your thoughts?
