Optometrist (OD)

Currently seeking Optometrists for full-time opportunities with an established company that has recently started to provide Optometrists to care for patients in Nursing homes. This is a M-F opportunity with no evenings or weekends. Both experienced ODs and new grads are welcome to apply.

• All equipment provided
• Travel could be up to an hour some days, depending on your location
• This company serves 400 nursing homes in New York and has provided other Dr’s for 10+ years but just recently started working with Optometrists to fill needs
• Excellent compensation
• Benefits package
• Established company that has been caring for the underserved for over 10 years
• OD Director is available for clinical questions, etc
• See 15-25 patients per day
• Looking for full time but open to part time

Responsibilities of the Optometrist (OD)

• Perform comprehensive eye health and vision examinations
• Diagnose disease and vision disorders
• Counsel patients regarding their vision needs

Requirements of the Optometrist (OD)

• Doctor of Optometry degree (OD)
• License to practice in the state of NY
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
