santinelli 9000 bearing question

Just started hearing a faint whining when edging a lens, like a bearing is worn and trying to fail. More likely to be from the spindle or from the drive motor? (I assume both have bearings. I can't tell with certainty by ear where the noise is coming from.)

The edger has about 50k cuts on it. Never heard this light, high pitched noise until a few days ago. I hear it more on the bevel cycle than on the roughing wheel.
