Out-of-network VSP billing

Recently we have had some changes in our office that lead to the filing of VSP benefits out-of-network. Does anyone have any advice to offer that will make me successful in this type of insurance filing. We have already discovered that paper filing for EyeMed can sometimes increase our remuneration.

When I worked for the evil empire I would call vsp for customers and get their benefits and help them submit them to VSP to get reimbursed. Now that is basically impossible unless the customer wants to do that themselves. Which is kind of corny imo to have the customer call VSP in your office to ask for their benefits.

My current office bills VSP in-network but I have heard from several other opticians on this board that they use https://www.anagram.care/ with a lot of success. It's much easier to say we work with VSP then to flat out say NO we do not.
