Account Sales Manager (Business Development Manager)
One of the foremost lens design firms is looking to increase its customer facing presence by introducing another Business Development Manager to its Domestic team. The position will entail face to face interactions with wholesale Optical laboratories at various stages along the development process, with you as their technical, training, and marketing liaison including acting as a first tier support provider in these categories, as well as new client discovery and development.
What we need from you:
· Provide technical and business development support to the client, making sure that they are always the top priority
· To serve as a client advocate, ensuring to convey their needs, and desires back to the technical and development teams.
· To serve as a technical knowledge base for the client, offering training to the lab, and direct support to their respective ECP’s in regards to design principals and specifications.
· Work to increase new account integrations and increasing current account product use by proving product value.
· We need your passion and commitment, the ideal candidate needs to be excited to help the ophthalmic space thrive, and a desire to see an innovative business continue to grow into the biggest thing in eyewear.
· This position involves travel of about 50% including occasional trips to our European facilities.
Your Background should include:
· Work in a Digital Production Wholesale Optical Lab, preferably in a management.
· The willingness and capability to learn software management and first tier support.
· A history of being a team player and an ability to learn from your team mates.
· Great communication skills.
· Understanding of the Sales cycle, and business cycle of the industry.
· Knowledge of the LMS’s and equipment manufacturers.
We’d love to see in your background
· Knowledge of retail, as well as wholesale.
· Licensed Optician (State, and or A.B.O.)
· Use of Adobe Suites
· Advanced Degree in Optics, Optometry
