    GENERAL FUNCTION
    Create exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering legendary customer service and crafting perfect, quality eyewear in about an hour. Ensure customers are always delighted by performing the key steps of our selling model.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Engages every customer that enters the store.
    Uncovers the reason for the customer’s visit
    Answers customer’s questions giving them a better understanding of available options
    Strives to achieve all store metrics - our Customer Experience Indicators.
    Is attentive to details; reviews prescriptions and identifies special needs.
    Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
    Identifies situations involving unsatisfied customers and acts quickly for resolution.
    Provides guidance to store associates as a technical and fashion expert, presenting information simply to both associates and customers.
    Assists co-workers who have questions or problems; cooperates readily in group efforts.
    Helps to create an effective learning environment.
    Handles tasks such as taking and recording measurements and adjusting and fitting eyewear in a careful and correct manner.
    Ensures finished eyewear meets LensCrafters' optical standards and customer requirements/requests.
    Assists the customer in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their lifestyle, prescription and price needs.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    Knowledge of current optical theory and practices
    Strong communication and listening skills
    Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
    Awareness of current fashion trends
    Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
    Sales skills
    Familiarity with computers and calculators

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    High school graduate preferred
    State licensure (where applicable)
    LensCrafters’ Final Inspector Certification required. (Obtained upon hire)
    ABO Certification in licensed states required (where applicable), non-licensed states required
    NCLE Certification in licenses states required (where applicable)
    Optical dispensing experience
    Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred

    WORKING CONDITIONS
    Job duties require walking or standing for most of the day.
    Job duties require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items around the store.
    Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
