    Sola Progressives

How do SolaOne, SolaMax and Percepta differ from each other? Is SolaOne a better, newer design or are all three really meant for different types of wearers?

    Is this a trick question?

Sola Max and Percepta can be thought of as opposites, and I think of them both as "specialty" progressives:

SM has huge near and intermediate, but distance suffers proportionately. Pretty soft design. It's an alternative to computer NVF lenses. I think of it as a computer lens with a built-in high "regression" rate, if you know what I mean.

Percepta has a huge distance, but it has little intermediate and an average near. Pretty hard design. It's an alternative to a D-seg. Would be good for sunwear, or any other distance-heavy work.

Sola One is a much more balanced design, and would appropriate for most, if not all, progressive wearers. That's the pick of that litter.

My newest glasses are SolaOnes and I like them a lot. I have also worn Sola Max and didn't like them, I thought they were swimmy.
