She suggests to place a mirror flat on the dispensing table between you and the patient.
Place a dot (with a sharpee) in the center of the mirror.
Have the patient, wearing the frame, look through the lower portion of the glasses at the dot.
You, the dispenser, would then place a dot at the pupil while you are looking at their eyes through the mirror.
This was initially suggested to help find reading level drop for a slab off patient.
