    Edging question!!!

Ok, this a first for me and thought I'd come here. Patient insisted on having the same ol blended bifocal as she's wearing now and wanting to use her own frame. The problem.....I've never edged a blended bifocal on my edger and I'm not sure how to block it up. I looked in the manual but didn't find anything and before I call up Santinelli, I thought I'd ask you guys.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I would mark up the lens at the distance and near so you can get the decentration. If there are no markings left on the lens around that three mm blend you will need to re-mark it around the outside edge of the blend for the hight. then you can lay it out. Thank goodness for Progressives.

Those blended bifocals are such a pain! I can't believe that they are still sround. I block them up like I would a bifocal. If you have the same edger we do we block it 5 in and 5 down and cut it like a bifocal.

Thank you for your help. This is the first blended I've sold in a couple of years. I can usually get them into a progressive, but this one wouldn't budge.
