Pediatric patient with marfan syndrome

Hi all, This might be my first post here, but I've been a lurker forever. Hi!

I have a pediatric patient with Marfan syndrome and his optical needs are great. He presented as a rapidly progressing myope, but because of issues with the connective tissue holding his lens, and a lensectomy, he is now very hyperopic. It's been a while since I have dealt in the world of high plus lenses, and I want to make sure we are doing our best for this patient. I live in Canada and have access to Zeiss, Essilor and Shamir lenses at the moment. We are waiting for his eyes to settle down post surgery, then hi will likely be in a ft bifocal for the foreseeable future. I would love advice that doesn't include CL's because we aren't there quite yet.

I have dispensed a few aphakic lenses to elderly low vision patient, so I'll give you the tidbits I have. Like many extreme scripts, close fitting, round frames which centre the eye are best. I've ordered with Essilor for the "Omega Round 22" which is their aphakic bifocal, usually lead time has been a couple of months. The few high hyperopic pediatric patients I have dispensed to I have gone with Nano Vista frames, personally I like them best for these cases.
