I am in need of a new lab.

I am currently looking at options for a new lab. We are going to be taking davis and eyemed. What I have done in the past is use one lab for the insurance and then a different lab for private pay. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I'm at a practice that only accepts VSP as far as vision goes so you'd have to call 'em and ask, but I use Sierra Optical Lab out of Reno NV. They do pretty much anything we need, unusual requests included (and we make a lot of unusual requests), and are more than fair price-wise.

Thank you for the response. I am genuinely a little surprised that there is only one recommendation.

we use a private lab here in MT whether VSP/eyemed/etc or private pay, price wise they definitely push their house brand but its easy enough to make profit with premium brands regardless

Perhaps the best, but they are private-pay only. And very expensive.

We use Cherry. They are excellent all around. Insurance labs and quality are like oil and water sadly.
