    This is Driving me CRAZY!

I need help! I've had several people come in with sores on their noses from noespads. I try multiple pads, multiple adjustments, change frames altogether and these people still come back with problems.

Are these ordinary pressure sores? No staph in them, no actual disease? Then the answer may be to get the frames off of those areas altogether for a few weeks of healing time. How about a change to a saddle bridge with a deliberately excessive frontal angle, or a strap bridge with the pad arms spread too wide. I've used sky-hooks (plastic hook on a headband, originally for post-op patients) for this sort of thing before. I wore Silhouettes for years, lightweight and well fitted, but bearing down on the same patch of skin, however lightly, will have a serial effect, just as you described. I now wear zyl, problem solved.

there are times, especially with flatter bridges or heavier lenses where i've had success with silicone anti slip temple grips or weights, you can get them pretty much anywhere, even amazon has a cheap multipack, get's the weight off the nose but still comfortable on the pressure points
