Which would you recommend for opticianry between these two schools..

    Hello all,

Which would you recommend for opticianry between these two schools----> Seneca College vs. Georgian College in Ontario. Thanks so much in advance.

    Neither.

Perhaps try :Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

some of the most successful people in the optical business and in the world did not go to an optician program trade school.

    don’t limit yourself.

I don't think it appropriate to make a recommendation for a school that you have not personally attended.

That's almost not funny. In my experience, the Big Boys fill their outside optical sales positions with folks who have outside sales experience but no optical knowledge whatsoever. You're more likely to be hired as a Zeiss lens rep if you've sold frozen food wholesale than eyeglass lenses retail.

Which is why I wouldn't go to either school. You need to learn the skills the disrupters learned, therefore go where they went. Don't be defenseless.

If all you want is to dispense and if rules haven’t changed then work for an optometrist, they will have you dispensing within a week with no tuition fees, no exam fees , no life long yearly recurring license fees and they will pay you. If you want more then go a different route.
