    Story on CNN

I immediately recognised Elisabeth's picture from this story on CNN
A freelance cameraman's appendix ruptured and by the time he was admitted to surgery, it was too late. A self-employed mother of two is found dead in bed from undiagnosed heart disease. A 26-year-old aspiring fashion designer collapsed in her bathroom after feeling unusually fatigued for days.

Again, Steve and Marlena, our hearts are with you.

In memory of Elizabeth Ann Machol

    Dear Steve and Marlena,

Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you.

Please know that you are loved by LOTS, and you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Elizabeth was a beautiful young woman with purpose, and was taken way too soon.

A cyber hug to you and yours,

    ((((( )))))

Thanks Uncle Fester for your idea and the time you spent putting this together. hj

It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I sat helplessly for 2-1/2 days and watched as my beautiful and amazing daughter Elizabeth slipped away from this world. This is every parent's nightmare and no matter how hard I scream, cry or pinch myself I just can't wake up from it. Now I have to do something even harder -

started a topic Memorial/Tribute to Elizabeth Machol

    Memorial/Tribute to Elizabeth Machol

About a month ago I got a request from an optiboard member to put together a site as a memorial/tribute. The optiboarder felt like many of us here, that all this board has given is worth more than many of us have valiantly tried to give back. This was his way of trying to give back to you Steve. It is meant as a celebration of life and I wish I had the honor of meeting her, but along the way as I pulled more and more info to put this together I realized that the world has lost something special. Over the next couple of days I will do my best to perform as many acts of random kindness and I urge all others to do the same. Thank you Uncle Fester for your random act of kindness that has led to this wonderful memorial.
