Reset Windows 10 password, possible?

I know it is easy to do this when logged into Windows. Possible to do this when you forgot the password? I am trying to figure out but no progress.

Depend on you are Windows 10 user,so it is recommended that you use ntpassword,but i don't know if you know more about that tool.Another easy tool to reset login password on your Windows 10 computer.

If you're login your Microsoft live account then try to resetting the passcode of that email. There are two option to login 1 is Email and 2 is passcode (4 Digits) for fast login. You should go for 1 option. If you need data install a fresh copy and don't format the drive and copy your data after installation and then go for fresh windows OS

I would choose kali as the distro to live boot, and I would use john the ripper to get into it.
